Located in front of the Ancient Courtyard Theatre, the Traditional Storytelling Hall is used year-round for professional traditional storytellers from around the country who specialize in mostly the Suzhou pingtan style of narrative, which combines storytelling, music and song. It is a bastion for the oral traditions of China, and the elderly often gather here to listen to classical lore. During the Festival, the Hall will become the main venue for the Wuzhen Dialogues.
